Mica has been working in the AEC industry for 20 years and with point clouds and 3d laser scanning exclusively for the last 8 years. 6 years ago Mica started flying with DJI drones and is a FAA 107 certified pilot. She has worked in almost all aspects from framing crews, drafting, structural engineering, green building design, and now asbuilt documentation. Most recently she has led the implementation of laser scanning on 200+ projects in some of the most complex residential, and commercial spaces, even on airforce bases, including projects over 300,000 square feet.
Mica believes capturing, digitizing, and organizing data from the start of the design project will become very beneficial and save a lot of time. Whether it is with as-builts via 3d point clouds, reality capture, or field layout of BIM models, Mica has developed workflows to streamline these processes. She is always looking for ways to keep the industry moving forward and be a driving force for new technologies that will
benefit the AEC industry.
